Welcome!

Hi folks and welcome to my blog.  I’ll use my initial post (for this blog anyway) to set the stage of what’s to come.  For those of you that know me, you’ll know to expect the unexpected.  These are my words and my opinions.  I’m not always right (unless your my wife and kids reading this) and I know that I have a lot to learn.  I enjoy learning and I attribute this to my mom. 

As a child, our family vacations were based around history lessons.  While others went to the amusement parks on the Jersey shore, we went to Gettysburg (Hey look, another stack of cannonballs).  Which made me wonder why Robert E Lee was known as such a great general when he kept losing (take that South).  I hated those trips as a kid, but I do appreciate them today.  I tend to do the same for my kids now.

So, I will use this pace to teach what little I know, and to pass along what I learn from the brilliant people I have “learned” to surround myself by.  Some posts will be meant to inform, some meant to make you think and some just to make you chuckle.
